Humor Challenge

Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of congress, but then I repeat myself. #MarkTwain

Humor challenges us Live with spirit, and not take ourselves or life too seriously.
Everything changes and the impossible happens.
A good joke  is a stress buster.

There is the option to rise to the challenge and option not to. Choose to be tickled by life.  Fine-tune your senses. Stay open to the surprises without fighting them. Dare to laugh at life. Laughter is the voice of your soul. Humor challenges us to connect with a bigger picture. It undoes expectations and opens our mind.

A lot of humor really isn't funny, but it really is an eye opener. The cool thing about connecting with a bigger picture  is it brings a better idea of where we're headed. We can't solve problems we don't see.

A sense of humor is the sensual perspective. Sense more, talk less. Laugh out loud. Einstein said, we can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking that created them. Think with your heart and listen with your soul.

Sensual thinking is spontaneous – like love or a good laugh. With open eyes and listening ears, there's more to see and a uniquely personal perspective to hear from. In fact, signs and challenges are everywhere. I'm drinking tea with advice written on the paper. It says, “Experience your own body, your own mind and your own soul.” I think that includes your own sense of humor. Tune in with heart, body, mind and soul and enjoy what you find.

Humor keeps us sane. It's a stress buster. Humor reminds us not to be rigid in our thinking. There is always more than one way to see the same thing. Life isn't as dark or as crazy after all, or is it? How many different answers are there to: ‘Why did the chicken cross the road?’

Every sense of humor is unique. Take time to enjoy yours. Respect yourself and enjoy what makes you smile. A laugh a day will reduce aging and make your eyes shine.
Ah, well, I am a great and sublime Fool, but then I am God’s Fool, and all his works must be contemplated with respect. #MarkTwain

The Lunatics Have Taken Over the Asylum sung by The Fun Boy Three, is deadpan humor. The jungle beat cracks me up. What a great way to say the world is going to pieces. What a healthy perspective to take! Instead of self-pity or anger, it’s an attitude of self-discipline. It’s the attitude laced with dignity and courage that says: We have a choice to rise to the challenge; it’s time for us to pull it together.

Fine Tuning Your Sensual Thinking will gently open your mind.

  1. Love this blog post. It's my first time to visit the blog, so it took a while to figure out who writes these pieces. Not familiar with you or your books previously, I was really at a loss. LOL But I loved the content enough to peruse the whole page to finally get a name.

I've long been a believer in using humor to de-stress and used it liberally when raising my large family. We still find humor of great benefit.
